A Fistful of Roros is a personal blog created by me (G.B) sharing the stories and experiences of my collective family life. The funny, not so funny, and insights into how becoming a father in my mid-thirties completely re-shaped my life and mentality.
I aim to feature stories about everyday life, technology tips, personal finance information/opinion, and tales of outdoor excursions (Where time allows!).

Tech & nerdy posts
I love to learn about all manner of technology new & old. I have worked in IT for a decade, along side being a keen gamer and general tinkerer. Writing about this is new to me, but I am eager to try my hand at it and share what I know with the world!
Financial insights
I am by no means a financial expert, however I have a keen interest in finance and investing. I aim to share as much information about this as I can, especially regarding how this relates to family life and planning for the future. This is purely opinion, however!

While there are many who have walked the path of fatherhood and shared their stories of the monumental impact this has on life, my stories are unique to me and my family.
I feel sharing these stories with the world will hopefully help others share in the laughs and lessons we have experienced as a family and with luck, will also help me to reach outside my comfort zone to connect with others. (something I have struggled with in recent years)
Passion for technology
A decade of experience working within IT, and even more indulging my passion and love for personal projects has given me a wealth of experience in learning a broad range of technologies and how to apply these for personal and professional use.
But most importantly, I’m a simple hearted nerd and tinkerer, and never miss an excuse to pull something to pieces and learn how it ticks!
Emphasis on family
This blog is to serve primarily as my outlet for family and personal stories, to share my experiences through life and to hopefully help others along the way who may not be as fortunate to have the support network I have.
